Account & Data Deletion Policy

CopperHive Technologies Private Limited ("CopperHive", "AlphaRupee", "we", "us") respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request deletion of your account and associated personal data, even if you never completed a loan application, and the conditions under which we may be required to retain certain information.

1. How to Request Deletion

You may request deletion at any time — whether you availed a loan through the AlphaRupee platform or only shared information during an eligibility or credit check.

Steps:

1. Send an email from your registered email address to support@alpharupee.in
2. Use the subject line: Account/Data Deletion Request
3. Provide the following for verification:
   • Full Name
   • Registered Mobile Number
   • Last 4 digits of your Loan / Customer ID (if any)
   • Last 4 digits of a government ID used for KYC
4. We will acknowledge your request within 7 days and complete eligible deletion within 30 days, except for data we are legally required to retain.
5. If you do not have an account but believe AlphaRupee has processed your information (for example, during an eligibility check), please include the phone number or email address used so that we can locate your records.

2. What Will Be Deleted

• Profile details, contact information, and login credentials
• Enquiry and application data held by CopperHive that is not subject to legal retention
• Device and technical data collected through our platform

Deletion covers active systems and backups. Backup copies are purged within 90 days of primary deletion.

3. Our Role as a Lending Service Provider

CopperHive operates as a Lending Service Provider. Where your data was processed in connection with a loan sourced through the AlphaRupee platform, the Partner Lender (Sonu Marketing Private Limited, operating as Brahma Finance) is the Data Fiduciary for that loan data and is subject to its own statutory retention obligations as a Reserve Bank of India regulated entity.

On receiving your request, we will delete the data we hold as Data Fiduciary and will forward your request to the Partner Lender in respect of data held by them. Deletion of loan records held by the Partner Lender is governed by their retention policy and applicable RBI requirements.

4. Data We May Need to Retain

We may retain specific information only for as long as required by law or regulation, including but not limited to:

• Loan and repayment records, KYC documents, tax records, and credit-bureau submissions, for the periods mandated by the Reserve Bank of India, the Income-Tax Act, 1961, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
• Information needed for fraud detection, dispute resolution, or the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.

Such retained data will be used solely for these purposes and securely deleted once the applicable retention period expires.

5. Outstanding Obligations

If you have an active loan or unpaid dues, deletion will be paused until all obligations are settled. You may still submit the request, and we will notify you of any pending requirements.

6. Confirmation

Once your request is fulfilled, you will receive a confirmation email stating that your account and associated personal data — except legally retained records — have been deleted.

By submitting a deletion request you confirm that you understand the conditions above. This page may be updated from time to time; the latest version will always be available at https://alpharupee.in/account-deletion
